As the HSEQ Coordinator of the recently refurbished Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), you will work closely with our leaders to reduce the risk of injury and illness at work and work towards achieving our objective of zero harm while ensuring compliance with work health safety and related legislative instruments.

About the role:

• Partner with site leaders to develop and implement impactful HSEQ systems.
• Build team capability and awareness of HSEQ and injury management.
• Ensure effective risk, emergency, incident, and contractor management.
• Support policy development and maintain HSEQ document control.
• Coach leaders in site-specific HSE plans and implementation.
• Collaborate with HR on workers' compensation and early intervention.
• Monitor monthly HSE targets and drive business reporting.
• Foster an integrated and consistent approach to HSEQ.
• Champion safety and contribute to our team culture.

About you:

• Previous experience in a HSEQ role
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Return to Work Coordinator Certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and Workers Compensation legislation
• Knowledge of risk and incident management
• Knowledge of Environmental compliance AS 14001
• Knowledge of Quality compliance ISO 9001
