Job Description - Hub Manager - Production Animal

Although the role is based in Feilding, you will be responsible for clinics based from Levin through to Taumarunui.

About the Role


As the PA Hub Manager, you’ll be a key operational leader responsible for the performance and success of your designated Hub. Your role will be varied, challenging, and rewarding:



  • People Leadership:  Directly manage Hub employees, set clear expectations, and foster a high-performing, values-aligned culture. You’ll conduct regular performance reviews, lead team meetings, and champion a positive workplace environment.

  • Operational Excellence:  Monitor financial outcomes, client satisfaction, operational efficiency and team engagement.

  • Business Development:  Collaborate with other Hub Managers and the Regional Director to seek opportunities to grow the region’s client base, improve service offerings and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:  Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Represent your Hub, advocate for regional needs, and ensure transparent, effective communication at all levels.

  • Financial Stewardship:  Manage your Hub budget and resources responsibly.

  • Health, Safety & Wellbeing:  Champion safe working practices and wellbeing initiatives.


 


What We’re Looking For



  • Proven experience leading teams and driving results, ideally across multiple sites.

  • Strong relationship management ability

  • Strong financial acumen, previous budget and P&L responsibilities desirable.

  • Highly developed communication skills, able to relate with all walks of life

  • Proven problem solving and trouble-shooting ability, aligned with strong attention to detail.

  • A proactive, adaptable approach and a passion for continuous improvement.

  • The ability to travel within New Zealand (mostly within the North Island) is an essential part of this role. A full clean driver’s licence is required.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

  • Experience in veterinary, animal health, or related sectors is an advantage, but not essential.
