We are now looking for a proactive and seasoned HR Manager to become an integral part of the team. This position plays a crucial role in driving the store's success by overseeing HR management and training efforts to meet and exceed strategic priorities and business objectives. As the HR Manager, you'll lead the development, execution, and coordination of all HR and training processes, programs, and initiatives throughout the store. Additionally, you'll provide guidance and mentorship to management on HR-related matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive HR plans that align with the store’s strategic vision.
- Operational Excellence: Foster strong relationships with department managers and staff to understand and support their needs, while providing expert HR guidance to the store management team.
- Training and Development: Lead and manage the delivery of in-store training programs and support the ongoing skill development of all employees.
- Performance Management: Drive the performance management program, ensuring timely completion of appraisals and supporting Store Manager and department managers in disciplinary matters.
- Recruitment and Compliance: Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards, and manage initiatives related to staff engagement and retention.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold our Health and Safety and Food Safety policies, ensuring compliance across all departments.
Background required:
- Proven HR management experience in a retail or similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set a positive example and uphold our store values and culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with and influencing various stakeholders.
- Ability to plan, organise, and deliver results through others, demonstrating a strong results and customer service focus.
- Resilient and adaptable, with a persuasive and influential personality.
