Incident Response Consultant

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team at Kordia as an Incident Response Consultant.  This role has emerged due to our significant growth and expanding client base. Ideally suited to someone with strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong project and task management skills within the IT Security space.  

Ko tā mātou mahi - About the role

In this role, you will coordinate and facilitate incidents for our customers, conduct hands-on digital forensic examinations, and provide technical assistance as needed.

Ko tō mahi – What you will do

Daily you will find yourself delivering Threat Intelligence, performing Threat Hunting duties for our Cyber Defence Operations (CDO) client base, and managing the operational aspects of Kordia’s managed security services clients for Incident Response and Digital Forensics. 

Additionally, you will assist the team in creating and facilitating Table-top exercises, engaging in Threat Hunting and Intelligence gathering, and managing customer relationships. You will act as the primary Incident Responder during cyber security incidents, ensuring high-quality, timely customer reporting and identifying opportunities for continual service improvement. 

This role requires close collaboration with the Incident Response (IR) team, Cyber Defence Operations (CDO), and various support functions across the business. 

Na tōu rourou - What you will bring 

Along with your passion for Cyber Security and your keen interest in the industry you will have:

  • IACIS CFCE Certification desired, however the ability to pass this certification is essential
  • CIMS Certification preferred, however the ability to pass this certification is essential
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role within the IT Security industry
  • Ability to analyse data to detect patterns and anomalies 
  • Strong problem-solving skills to quickly assess security incidents
  • Proficiency in clearly explaining technical details and incident impacts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written report writing skills and a high standard of word formatting and presentation
  • Experience with conducting Digital Forensic examinations and preservation of evidence including chain of custody, by way of practical experience and tertiary qualifications
