Industrial Electrician / Generator Technician

At Terra Cat, you’ll work across workshop and onsite environments, be exposed to a wide range of generator systems, and build capability on industry‑leading Caterpillar equipment.

The role

As part of our Auckland team, you’ll be responsible for preparing, servicing, repairing and maintaining a range of new and used generators.

Your work will include:

• Fault finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting

• Repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance

• Mechanical work

• Workshop-based work and customer sites (no being stuck in one place)

• Associated documentation and job administration

You’ll be involved in interesting, real‑world projects and supported with modern test equipment and structured training, including Caterpillar systems — a great way to broaden your electrical skillset and future options.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be:

• An NZ Registered Electrician, essential

• Experienced in generator installation and maintenance or have a strong interest in generator and mechanical work

• A team player who takes pride in quality work

If your electrical background is solid but generator experience is partial, we’re still keen to talk.
