This is a position for an IT leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about building future-ready IT solutions. We’re looking for a leader to join the organisation who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
This role is permanent and fulltime, with the occasional weekend requirement.🔧
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the hospital’s IT operations, infrastructure, and systems.
Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of critical infrastructure in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
Identify and mitigate IT risks, particularly in relation to clinical and operational continuity.
Provide expert advice on best practices and emerging technologies, with a focus on ensuring a fit-for-purpose, future-ready IT environment.
Collaborate across departments to understand needs and deliver effective, user-friendly solutions.
Evaluate and implement cloud-based solutions where appropriate.
Stay current with industry trends and innovations and assess their relevance to our environment.

You’re someone who’s comfortable working with multiple, complex requirements and can bring clarity when it’s needed. You collaborate naturally, listen well, and translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language for a range of users. You take pride in turning ideas into action and delivering practical, effective solutions for your organisation.
The following are some of the keyways you could be described by your colleagues:
Strong technical background with the ability to dip in and out of detail as needed.
Comfortable with change and able to prioritise effectively in a dynamic setting.
Personable and collaborative—able to build trust and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience managing infrastructure risk and advising on best practice.
Up-to-date knowledge of cloud technologies and modern IT architectures.
We would also prefer you to come with
5 years proven experience in a senior IT role within a complex, high-stakes environment (healthcare experience a plus).
