INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TUTOR

Southern Institute of Technology a business division of Te Pūkenga is a well-recognised provider of tertiary vocational training, offering a comprehensive range of programmes that lead to formal qualifications. As well as the Bachelor of Information Technology, we offer several postgraduate, diploma, certificate and master level programmes. We are looking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced person to join our team.

Ideally, we are seeking applications from people who hold Bachelor of IT or above with a minimum of 5 years of Industry experience. A qualification in information technology, preferably at a Doctorate or master’s level in an IT/Computer Science-related area, would be an advantage. 

Preference will be given to those with experience in the New Zealand tertiary education sector with experience in research supervision. Above all, we are looking for good communicators with a solid aspiration to work with a motivated and committed group of students and staff.

While previous teaching experience would be a distinct advantage, training is available in this area with academic staff being required to undertake study towards the New Zealand Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5), offered through SIT.
