The Role

We're searching for a highly motivated and customer-focused Insurance Broker to spearhead our business development efforts. You'll play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new clients, while ensuring exceptional service becomes our hallmark.

What You'll Do:

• Be a trailblazer – you'll identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted sales and marketing initiatives.
• Build lasting relationships – forge strong connections with clients to understand their unique insurance needs and tailor solutions.
• Become a trusted advisor – provide expert guidance on various insurance products and services, crafting comprehensive solutions.
• Master negotiator – negotiate favourable terms and conditions with insurers on behalf of clients, presenting compelling proposals.
• Client champion – manage and monitor client accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and building long-term loyalty.
• Partner with underwriters – cultivate strong relationships with insurance underwriters to secure the best possible coverage and terms.
• Stay ahead of the curve – keep pace with industry trends, regulations, and product developments, sharing knowledge with clients and colleagues.

Who You Are:

• A degreed professional in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the New Zealand insurance brokerage industry, with a proven track record (experience transferable from a related field is a plus).
• Possess an in-depth understanding of New Zealand insurance products and services, the regulatory landscape, and market dynamics.
• A natural communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, adept at building strong relationships with clients and underwriters.
• A skilled negotiator, confident in securing the best deals for clients.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple clients and policies efficiently.
• A results-driven go-getter with a history of exceeding targets.
