The Roles

Hooker & Heijden are seeking talented claims staff and brokers from all levels of experience including Commercial and Domestic broker support or Account Executives to manage various portfolios including SME, Financial Lines, Motor and Corporate segments. As well as our multiple Claims opportunities.

We are looking for a broad range of experience and as such requirements will vary from role to role but as a guide, we are seeking candidates with the following:

• 1-10+ years of insurance-related experience. (Underwriting, Broking, Support, Claims)
• Depending on the role, exposure to classes such as Professional lines, Directors and officers, Property, Business Packs, Liability and Commercial Motor is desirable
• Prior experience undertaking all aspects of insurance broking (or broking administration) including responding to client requests, all processing and documentation associated with the portfolio and claims management
• Active claims management experience, (for claims role) Commercial property or motor claims experience preferred
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Willingness to take direction from senior staff
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Level 5 Qualified or working towards (excluding claims and client support roles)
• Competent in IT and office procedures

Potential duties in these roles will include:

• Providing support to senior staff
• Management of portfolio
• New Business Development
• Team Mentoring
• Processing quotations, endorsements, renewals and cancellations
• Proactively act upon new business leads provided by the brokerage
• Identify opportunities for cross-sell and/or up-sell of products to clients
• Achieve individual and team KPIs
• Working collaboratively with team members.
• Managing Claims
