About the role:

You'll be an integral part of an agile team, pushing the boundaries of traditional SaaS applications through innovative design and development. You'll thrive in a culture that values continuous delivery, automation, and cloud-native engineering, all while maintaining a commitment to high-quality software development within a supportive agile environment.

• Design and contribute to the architecture of EROAD's SaaS solutions, utilizing a deep understanding of distributed application design principles.
• Proactively explore and integrate the latest development tools, methodologies, and technologies to maintain EROAD's industry-leading position.
• Fully embrace and contribute to our Agile environment, ensuring efficient and risk-aware development processes.
• Apply your Java expertise to develop robust, scalable solutions, adhering to best practices in coding and collaborative design. Engage in comprehensive testing and deployment, emphasizing automation and quality assurance across the development lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance, suggest improvements, and engage in proactive problem-solving to enhance our products continuously.
• Design and implement highly available, scalable, and efficient application architectures.
• Produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation.

About you:

• You will bring to the role, strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystem.
• Proven experience in building and deploying cloud-native solutions, preferably on Azure and AWS.
• You have an outcome-oriented approach to development, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Skilful in microservice architecture design and development.
• Competence in database design and SQL optimization.
• Knowledge in RESTful API design and OpenAPI specifications.
• Familiarity with common design patterns and their applications.
• Automated testing experience at various levels (unit, component, integration).
• Experience with trunk-based development approaches, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and virtualization platforms like Docker.
