IT Operations Specialist (Fixed-term, 12 months, Full-time)

What the role involves
You’ll help keep our IT environment secure, stable and reliable. Your day-to-day mahi will include:
· IT operations and support – keeping systems, networks, cloud services and devices running smoothly
· Service management and continuous improvement – monitoring performance, resolving issues, and improving processes and documentation
· IT project support – assisting with planning, testing, user communications and implementation
· Vendor and contract support – coordinating with suppliers, tracking performance, and managing licences and agreements.
About you
You enjoy solving problems, supporting people and taking ownership of your work. You’ll bring:
· A certificate or qualification in IT, Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience
· Five years’ experience in IT operations, or close to it
· Experience supporting IT projects or structured change activities
· Experience working with vendors or managed service providers
· A strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, networks and IT infrastructure
· Confident troubleshooting skills and a calm, practical approach
· Good planning and organisational skills
· Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in plain language
· Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-focused mindset
· A high level of reliability, attention to detail and personal responsibility.
