JLR Service Advisor - Growth-Minded Organization

Archibald & Shorter North Shore based in Wairau Valley is the home of Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo & Polestar on the North Shore.

About the role:

This is a busy, fast paced role based in Wairau Valley, you will be working with a small, close-knit team, reporting directly to the Service Manager. 

Integral to the success of our Service Department, this is a hands-on role, where we require a proactive problem solver, with high written and oral communication skills, excellent project management, and a keen eye for detail. 

Manage your daily flow alongside key team members, maximise workload and be exceptionally productive, this role will see you advance your career and be part of an award winning team.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and assist in scheduling service appointments
• Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
• Liaise with technicians to ensure a comprehensive grasp of necessary repairs
• Provide customers with service and repair cost estimates
• Clearly explain repair recommendations and options to customers
• Keep customers updated on their vehicle's service progress
• Handle customer payments and process invoices
• Maintain precise records of service transactions and customer interactions
• Address customer inquiries and promptly resolve any issues or concerns
• Collaborate with the service team for efficient workflow and customer satisfaction

To be successful you will be:

• Passion for customer service and the automotive sector
• Understanding of basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient in English 
• Ability to follow procedures and audit processes
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the service team, manufacturers and customers
• High level of professional integrity and appearance
• Customer service and project management experience
• Detail orientated and high levels of accuracy
• Experience with Dealer Pro (or similar Dealer Management System/CRM) a plus
• Previous experience and knowledge of Jaguar Land Rover cars is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
