Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As Journey Manager, you will take a lead on complex issues involving customer journeys across the Northland network. You'll look beyond the day-to-day operations of the transport system to show leadership on behalf of all road users, creating a joint approach to how we manage programmed works and improve experiences for our customers.
You’ll build strong partnerships to keep key community stakeholders engaged and informed, and ensure our plans align - balancing delivery with customer impact and using your problem-solving skills to help navigate this.
Working with the local team you will collaborate to continuously improve how the transport system operates as a whole and ensure that the region is well prepared for responding to local and national emergencies.
As part of a national team dispersed around New Zealand, you will combine a national focus with deep knowledge of local issues and a strong local presence. This role will be based in Whangarei with a focus on the Northland region.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
