The Position

GS1 NZ has multiple software-as-a-service platforms, which enable effective and efficient product data and content synchronisation throughout the supply chain. We have an opportunity for an experienced, well-rounded Junior Developer to join our Digital Team. Our team is growing and this presents an exciting opportunity to join a progressive organisation.

Like many organisations that have grown quickly, we have a plethora of legacy and modern systems that we are committed to and resourcing to be modernised and integrated. Some are cloud-hosted; some on virtual machines. We are currently modernising our systems on the Azure cloud platform - any prior experience is welcome including experience with infrastructure as code and working with cloud services. We are seeking a Junior .Net Developer to join our dynamic and growing Digital Team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years of experience in .Net development. The successful candidate will work closely with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain web-based applications. This role provides a great platform to grow technical skills and gain practical experience in a supportive, Agile development environment.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in .Net development (internships and projects can be included).
• Basic proficiency in C#, ASP.Net, and .Net Core.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of SQL Server and database concepts.
• Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and willingness to learn and adopt Agile practices.
