Junior Test Analyst

At Foster Moore International, we’re proud to develop world-class registry solutions for governments and organisations around the globe. We’re looking for a Junior Software Tester to join our high-performing Consulting Team in Auckland.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for testing our software applications prior to release, ensuring they meet all specified requirements. You'll play a critical part in maintaining the quality of our products by identifying, logging, and helping resolve defects in a timely manner. Your work will support the delivery of high-level services to both our clients and customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Execute both manual and automated tests and monitor test execution progress to ensure thorough coverage


• Analyse test requirements and develop test cases and test scenarios for both manual and automated testing


• Perform functional testing across various test levels to ensure high-quality software releases


• Accurately reporting defects with detailed information to support replication and resolution


• Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders – including product owners, engineers, testers, and project managers – throughout the software development lifecycle

Our Ideal Test Analyst Will Demonstrate the Following Attributes:

• A minimum of 1 year experience in software testing


• A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent practical experience


• Hands-on experience in functional testing across various test levels, including component, integration, system, and acceptance testing


• Experience with automated testing (highly regarded)


• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (beneficial)


• The ability to read and interpret formal technical specifications and identify faults or ambiguities


• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate issues clearly – both verbally and in writing


• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.


• A proactive mindset with the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and accept feedback


• A willingness to continuously learn and adopt new technologies to enhance testing processes.


• ISTQB certificate (beneficial)
