Junior/Intermediate Structural Engineer

An engineering consultancy dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across the commercial and industrial sectors. Currently seeking a highly motivated Junior/Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their small Tauranga team and contribute to their their dynamic and collaborative work environment. The Position

With this consultancy, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and management of structural engineering projects. You will work closely with senior engineers to deliver outstanding solutions to clients. Projects you can be involved with include commercial buildings, schools, hotels, warehousing, cool stores, retail buildings and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and analyze structural systems for a variety of projects.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and evaluations to ensure project compliance.
• Assist in the development of engineering solutions that are safe, cost-effective, and sustainable.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project success.

About you:

• BE (Hons) Civil and a proven record of high academic achievement
• 2-5 years of NZ based experience in structural engineering and prior industrial or commercial project experience highly advantageous 
• Good understanding of structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000) 
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand building codes and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
