Kafka Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Kafka Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team, supporting and evolving enterprise event streaming platforms across both on-premises Kafka and Confluent Cloud running on Kubernetes. You'll help design, build, migrate and optimise scalable, secure, and highly available streaming solutions in a hybrid environment.

You'll bring:

• Strong experience administering and supporting Apache Kafka in on-premises environments


• Hands-on experience with Confluent Cloud and Kubernetes


• Knowledge of Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, KRaft/ZooKeeper, ACLs, RBAC, and security best practices


• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)


• Strong troubleshooting skills, performance tuning experience, and a solid understanding of distributed systems
