About the Role

Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust is seeking a Kaitohutohu to join our team and support whānau Māori with tamariki aged 0–3. This role is about walking alongside whānau, nurturing their aspirations, and helping them prepare for kōhanga reo and ECE enrolment through culturally grounded, strengths-based support.
You’ll work in homes, group sessions, and community spaces—creating early learning journals, development plans, and meaningful connections. You’ll help whānau see the richness in their everyday interactions and unlock the potential of Te Whāriki through play, planning, and whanaungatanga.
