Job Description - Key Account Manager

Account Management and Delivery  
Spearhead the creation and delivery of digital strategies, campaigns and projects for our Silver, Gold and VIP partners – some of tourism’s hero experiences and leading destinations globally.   

  • Co-ordinate team resourcing, delivery and performance of said strategies on a day-to-day basis, incorporating paid, earned and owned activations and regular reporting.  
  • Strive for client delight, strong ROI and industry-leading delivery where possible.  
  • Craft enduring, collaborative relationships with your fellow Account Managers & wider Maverick team.   
  • Facilitate and ensure open, regular and consistent communication and account management across your portfolio. 
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Client Services team, spearheading new ways to deliver results and client delight when opportunities arise. 
  • Constantly push to improve results, capitalise on new opportunities, test new technology or approaches and be abreast of industry change. 
  • Support the content team with resourcing and delivery for your portfolio of clients across multiple content types on a monthly basis.  
  • Support the growth of ongoing retainer services and the overall scaling of the business.  
  • Support the creation of a healthy, fun and productive workplace culture and help to facilitate top scores for our annual Employee Engagement Survey. 

Business Development  

Tourism marketing is ever-changing, and Maverick is dedicated to being ahead of the curve.  

  • Pinpoint new opportunities for Maverick to consider and lead the uptake of said opportunities when it fits into the company’s strategic goals.  
  • Be a part of shaping and leading ambitious future plans for Maverick, both domestically and internationally.   
  • Collaborate with SLT as needed to support and enable sustainable, long-term company growth.  

Your skillset and experience will include:  

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing and/or tourism (preferably both). 
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that include paid, earned and owned digital elements within them. 
  • The ability to multitask, work at a fast pace, and juggle multiple priorities at once.  
  • Strong copywriting especially with long form items ie blogs, EDMs, thought leadership.  
  • Incredible communication and planning skills.   
  • A proven passion and interest in the travel and tourism industry would be ideal.
  • Understanding of the tourism distribution process would be preferable but not essential.
