Job Description - Key Account Manager - Construction & Infrastructure

Are you a dynamic and results-driven sales professional with a proven track record of driving growth? We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager  to join our Strategic Accounts team in the Auckland region.To support the growth ambition in one of our key strategic sectors, Construction & Infrastructure, we are on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced, and motivated individual to join our high performing Strategic Accounts team.This role, Key Account Manager, reports into the National Business Development Manager for Construction & Infrastructure. Due to the nature of the head office customers that this position will be accountable for, our preference is that the role is Auckland based.Key responsibilities:Deliver NZ Safety Blackwoods margin targets for the sectorEnsure all appropriate actions are taken to implement HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirementsIdentify, develop and execute a minimum of 3 Joint Business Plans with key Strategic customers within the sectorWork with our Category, Marketing, Field Sales, and Sales Operations team to deliver engaging and meaningful insight-driven customer facing interactionsCollaborate with our suppliers and merchandise team to source the optimal product range at the most competitive price to best meet customer needs, aligning as closely as possible with existing product ranges and suppliers in order to leverage existing relationships, trading terms and product expertiseProvide timely and accurate monthly reporting to individual customer requirements.Participate in the negotiation and execution of contractual agreements to maximise financial performance.Provide best in class service to an established and existing customer base at a head office level, ensuring maximum penetration and share of wallet for NZ Safety BlackwoodsActively target and win new businessBuild and deliver a strategy and selling tools that enable our NZSB field sales team to execute plans at a site levelEnsure the appropriate levels of collaboration, transparency and visibility across the business with key internal stakeholdersSupport the NBDM with Strategy formulation and execution to ensure targets for the sector are metOur Ideal Candidate:Will possess experience within a similar role where have successfully identified and won new business and growth opportunities, ideally with national exposure.Will have outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills along with proven commercial acumen.Will act with grit, determination and urgencyCan demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results, preferably at a head office level but at Senior Account Manager level will also be consideredCan demonstrate hunger and passion for driving profitable sales growth with new and existing customersWill be a team player who is open to feedback and believes in self-developmentAbout usNZ Safety Blackwoods  is the country's leading supplier of personal protective equipment, work wear, industrial and packaging products, as well as industry specific training and consulting services.
