Key Account Manager – 18 month contract

This is an 18 month maternity leave contract, and as the Key Account Manager, Woolworths New Zealand, you’re tasked with achieving sales targets within the approved trade spend and cost budgets, while coordinating account-specific activation's from Category and Marketing to drive growth. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing trade relationships, overseeing product introductions and range reviews, and ensuring accurate demand planning.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual revenue, category, and operating targets.
• Drive Retailer Account Business Plans and reporting schedules for given categories.
• Manage trade relationships at the Category Manager level.
• Oversee the introduction and ranging of new products and manage range reviews.
• Focus on category development through Account Business Plans.
• Support accurate demand planning forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with trade fund management processes and reports.
• Implement promotional plans.

Qualifications/Experience

• Experience managing Woolworths New Zealand or Australia head office level
• At least 5 years in Sales Management, Brand Management or Category Management roles
• Tertiary Education in a commercial business degree is desirable but not essential
• Proven knowledge of strategic retail category plan development and successful implementation
