Job Description - Key Accounts Executive

British American Tobacco New Zealand has an exciting opportunity for a Key Accounts Executive in Auckland



 


Role Positioning and Objectives


 


In this role, you will help strengthen relationships with our major customers and support the team in delivering effective account plans. You will play a key part in analysing performance, supporting daily operations, and helping the business identify opportunities for growth. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with data, collaborating with different teams, and contributing to business results in a fast-moving environment


 


Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Support the design and implementation of agreed Account Plans and Business Reviews within applicable channel/s

  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and specific Key Accounts

  • Support the National Sales Manager and wider team to implement Key Accounts plans & management of third-party merchandising provider

  • Develop strategies and plans to deliver on targets by identifying gaps and opportunities

  • Day-to-day management of back-office requirements to ensure delivery of best practice account management

  • Support the Key Account Analyst to ensure all reporting (including Key Account performance and compliance) and forecasting is accurate and timely

  • Manage forecasting and Key Account campaign instructions for applicable channel/s

  • Leverage data and insights to put forward proposals to the business that will deliver growth

  • All other ad hoc requirements to support the Key Accounts team, as applicable


 


What are we looking for?


 



  • At least 2 years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company, preferably in head office account management

  • A qualification in marketing, business, or a related field

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and general computer systems

  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Good commercial understanding and ability to work with business insights

  • Experience in account or category management is an advantage

  • Familiarity with space-planning tools such as Nielsen or Aztec is a plus
