Auckland Council's Property Department has an opportunity for a Land Use Advisor to join our Land Use team.
This is a role where no two days are the same. You'll become a trusted advisor, providing specialist land use advice that helps balance legislative requirements, community outcomes and the long-term stewardship of Auckland's public land.
Working across a wide variety of projects, you'll assess requests for activities on Council-owned land, provide expert advice on statutory processes and collaborate with teams across the organisation to balance community outcomes, legislative requirements and commercial considerations. You'll be joining a collaborative team of specialists who are passionate about protecting Auckland's public spaces while enabling positive outcomes for our communities.

You may come from a planning, property, legal or similar statutory advisory background and enjoy applying legislation to real-world situations. You're naturally curious, enjoy researching complex issues and can confidently provide balanced advice that helps others make informed decisions.
You're equally comfortable interpreting legislation, managing competing priorities and providing exceptional customer service, even when conversations are challenging.
