Law Clerk - Construction & Major Projects

About the role:

Our Auckland based Construction & Major Projects team is looking for a law clerk to join us. This is an interesting and challenging role that will suit an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys the idea of large projects and being part of the high performing team. 

We are a two-partner practice offering you the opportunity to act for a wide range of high-profile clients – including government entities, infrastructure owners, lenders, developers and contractors.  The team is currently working on some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure projects in New Zealand across various sectors including renewable energy, health, airports, ports, primary industry, tourism and commercial.  A significant amount of the team’s work involves project finance transactions acting for both lenders and project vehicles.

The work in our team covers the full spectrum of transactional and advisory matters, including procurement strategy, project finance, tendering and probity, contract drafting and negotiation, contract administration and dispute avoidance and resolution.

We are a supportive team that actively trains our law clerks and lawyers at every level.  You will be given the room to take initiative, showcase your skills and interact directly with clients.  All while having a close-knit team to back you up.

Skills and background required:

• Strong marks in your law degree
