About Us

PGC Constructors are a New Zealand Certified Builders company who with their growing team around 70 workers on the ground make projects happen. We work on a variety of projects, with our own Developments, Heavy Commercial Projects, Large Scale Residential Developments and some High Spec Residential Housing. We are now working on some exciting projects in Hawkes Bay with more through 2024 and beyond. We need qualified leading hand carpenters to join and lead our expanding team now to help us to support and achieve these projects.

Qualifications & experience

• Trade Qualified Carpenter
• A minimum of three years New Zealand experience including leading teams
• Can pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen as well as health screening requirements
• Must have your own tools.
• LBP, or willingness to work towards LBP status is a strong advantage.
• Have a proactive approach to work- use initiative but will seek assistance where required
• Have strong written and oral skills
• Have a strong work ethic and reliability
• Be highly organised with great attention to detail
• Be able work autonomously, but also lead a busy team
• Be physically fit and able

Tasks & responsibilities

• Lead a team and monitoring daily construction procedures
• Work as part of a Construction Site Team delivering a range of different projects.
• Assist in the Mentoring of Junior Staff.
• Have a positive attitude on site, and represent PGC in a professional manner at all times.
• To lead by example in workmanship and quality of work.
