We are seeking a Leading Hand Electrician to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both Commercial and Residential Electrical work, coupled with a strong background in leadership and operational management. The successful candidate will be pivotal in guiding our Electrical team, ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards and within safety protocols and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embrace a dynamic role that combines hands-on electrical work with team management responsibilities.
- Oversee and coordinate electrical projects, ensuring tasks are efficiently assigned and completed on schedule.
- Provide leadership, management, and technical input to the electrical team.
- Plan, organise, and control electrical activities and projects to meet contract requirements and achieve targeted performance.
- Manage inventory and equipment, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Promote and maintain high Health and Safety standards, fostering a safe and compliant working environment for the entire team.
- Assist with company tendering by providing technical advice and oversight.
Requirements:
- Trade Qualified Electrician. EWRB Registered with current practicing licence.
- Minimum of 5 years’ qualified experience in the New Zealand Commercial and Residential Electrical sector.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the electrical industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical rules and regulations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand health and safety standards and a commitment to upholding these standards.
- Full New Zealand Drivers Licence.
Hours of work: 45 hours per week
