Lecturer (Teaching and Admin) / Online Cybersecurity Programme Lead Full-time (37.5 hours) / Part-time hours negotiableFixed-Term position (3 years)Au Mahi | What You Will Do We have an exciting opportunity for a Pukenga | Lecturer (Teaching and Administration) /Online Programme Lead to coordinate the delivery of UC's Cybersecurity Programme via the Tuihono | UC Online platform.You will develop and implement clear strategic objectives to maintain programmes of academic excellence, whilst facilitating effective course delivery. You will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to contribute and build an effective online community, whilst collaborating with industry, stakeholders (including an Industry Advisory Board), and the public. Communications skills will be important to promote the degree programme to key stakeholders, relevant industry networks, community, prospective and current students, and UC staff.Mou | Who You AreYou will have expertise in Cybersecurity, including security protocols and standards, threats and attacks, network security, underlying cryptographic techniques, penetration testing and system hardening, informed by recent developments in research / scholarship / creative work, as well as:a Masters in Cybersecurity or a related area, along with relevant industry or teaching experiencea PhD in a relevant field, would be an advantagedemonstrated understanding of, and experience in, delivering effective teaching methods that enable a wide range of learners to succeed, particularly in an online environmentevidence of reflective learning and continuous professional developmenta willingness to learn about bicultural and multicultural issues in Aotearoa New Zealand society, including a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi | The Treaty of Waitangi, and display a willingness to engage professionally with equity and diversity.Mahi Ngatahi | Who You Will Work With You will work collaboratively with both Tuihono UC | UC Online and Te Kaupeka Puhanga | Faculty of Engineering. The Tuihono team has grown and developed over recent years to allow access to a wide variety of courses previously only available on campus. The online learning team are dedicated to providing high-quality online courses for students, professionals, and lifelong learners.
