The Practice:
We are a small, interesting South Auckland criminal defence practice.
We are looking for a highly capable practice manager/ legal secretary to join our team, acting in some the biggest cases in New Zealand.
Our team are passionate about delivering excellent results to clients.
Key Responsibilities.
· Typing and transcription via digital dictation.
· Preparing legal documents and typing correspondence.
· Providing administrative support to our lawyers.
· Liaising with clients and other professionals.
· Manage the diary and the emails.
· Managing the time keeping and billing systems.
· Scanning, printing and copying documents.
· Opening and managing client files.
· Delivering work to lawyers within given time frames.
Skills and Experience
· Previous experience in a legal support role is preferred.
· Legal Dictaphone typing with a background in legal admin.
· High level of computer literacy.
· Fast accurate typing skills, with attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal and written communication spelling and grammar skills
· Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Be able to work unsupervised.
· Posses the ability to work under pressure.
· Have a professional telephone manner.
· Take pride in providing well-presented and accurate work.
· Have the ability to work at least 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
