We’re looking for a driven self-starter to join our team as a Lending Specialist. If you’re challenge driven, customer needs-focussed this is the role for you.

About the role

This role focuses primarily on assessing and approving credit card applications, and as we progress, you will receive training and guidance to move into secured lending.

About you

You’re someone who thrives in a challenging fast-paced environment, demonstrates high attention to detail while delivering exceptional customer service. 

You will manage lending enquiries, close sales and to complete applications fully and accurately, while demonstrating and promoting the banks values in all aspects of the role. 

You will undertake comprehensive needs-based conversations and related services and support the bank to achieve its overall profit, sales and service objective and deliver good customer experience outcomes.

You’ll have outstanding communication skills and strengths in stakeholder relationships to support the bank in social networking and growing external professional and referral relationships. Your continuous commitment towards putting the needs of our customers first will set you apart from the rest, and your ability to use initiative and self-manage when required will be second to none.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5
• 4-5 years consumer or retail lending experience. 
• A "people-first' approach when working with both customers and your team.
• A warm, positive, outgoing personality and a 'can do' service attitude.
• To be a change agent - someone who thrives in a fast-paced changing environment and actively accepts, embeds, and reinforces continuous change.
