We are seeking an intermediate or senior systems administrator to join our team and contribute to developing systems for our internal and external clients. With a merger of companies last year, we’re in an exciting phase of redevelopment.

About You

You will have a strong Linux focus and a passion for server administration, a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to keep up in a fast-paced, variable work environment, and ideally with; 

• 5+ years experience in system administration.
• Great multi-tasking skills
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems, software and hardware faults, and operational issues. Take appropriate corrective action personally and by interacting with other hosting team members.
• Knowledge of web application architecture, cloud hosting, DevOps
• Experience in
• Setting up high-load, high-availability, multi-data centre environments
• Supporting PostgreSQL and MySQL databases
• Supporting Source Code Repositories (Git)
• Disaster recovery readiness and management
• Experience with;
  • KVM or other Virtualisation platforms
  • Kubernetes, OKD
  • Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS-based Linux Distributions:
    • IPTables, NFTables
    • Bind
    • Python/Bash/Perl
    • LVM/LVS/libvirt/DRDB
    • Postfix
    • Apache / Nginx / PHP
    • MySQL / PostgreSQL
  • Windows Server, Remote Desktop Gateway, MFA Security
  • FortiNet Networking
  • ISO or SOC-2 Quality Systems
  • Centralised Logging (ELK, Wazuh)
  • Monitoring Systems (Icinga, Munin, Prometheus)
  • Backup Systems (rdiff_backup, tape, Synology)
  • Ansible

The role includes participation on an On-Call roster on a 1-3 week basis.
