Job Description

Due to internal growth, our Macraes Process Plant is currently seeking a long-term maintenance planning specialist. If you have heavy industry plant planning experience, and are keen to join New Zealand's largest gold mine, apply today!



Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Senior Specialist, this role will undertake planning for scheduled maintenance activities and develop engineering details, scope of works, quality and safety plans for field execution of maintenance work across the Macraes Process Plant.   

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Work within the planning and scheduling team to ensure the site does the right work over a 1-5 year horizon
  • Manage maintenance-related activities on all assets effectively and efficiently
  • Optimising and delivering shutdowns and overhauls to required quality to restore / sustain asset reliability , within approved budgets and schedules.
  • Set the direction for Asset Management - aligning and motivating all stakeholders to contribute to the sites business strategy, monitoring and controlling performance, risk and cost
  • Develop and optimise the operational and maintenance strategies, tactics, and budgets for all assets
  • Deliver new or modified assets in line with strategic and asset lifecycle plans
  • Ensure delivery of spares and materials in fill on-time every time
  • Ensure operational teams identify and manage the operating factors impacting on asset reliability
  • Measure and evaluate operating performance and variances, condition and integrity of all critical assets and identifying and prioritise defects
  • Eliminate causes, defects and operating losses

Qualifications

  • Relevant Engineering Degree Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred

Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ production (heavy industrial plant) maintenance experience, including maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Previous planning experience in a continuous production/process plant environment.
  • Has significant experience of fixed equipment, crushing, grinding, milling plant, rotating equipment and pressure vessels.
  • Proficient with MS Project and CMMS (preferably Pronto).
