Loss Prevention (Security) Officer - The Warehouse, Dannevirke (Fixed term)

Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role. 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Temporary Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This position is to provide temporary coverage while a current team member is on secondment to another internal role.

As an LPO, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our team members, customers, and company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises via patrols and CCTV to prevent theft, misconduct, and safety violations

• Respond to security incidents and escalate where necessary

• Conduct bag checks, security audits, and incident reporting in line with company policy

• Support the team in managing shrinkage and loss prevention strategies

• Act as a visible deterrent while maintaining a customer-friendly attitude

• Liaise with store management, staff, and external authorities as required

• Previous experience in a security, retail loss prevention, or similar role is highly desirable

• Strong observational and communication skills

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict professionally

• Reliability, integrity, and a team-oriented mindset
