About the role
We have an awesome opportunity for a skilled and motivated Machinery Technician to join our in-house maintenance team on the nightshift. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and improving mechanical/electrical systems to ensure the reliability and longevity of our manufacturing plant and equipment, working both proactively on preventative maintenance and reactively during breakdowns. You should be a quick learner who isn’t afraid to ask questions, and you will bring a positive team spirit with ability to build solid working relationships across the site. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to:
- Operate with focus, energy, and initiative.
- Be proactive with strong fault finding and diagnostics skills.
- Bring a solid background in industrial maintenance (ideally in food manufacturing).
- Show technical and mechanical aptitude with excellent time management.
- Thrive on continuous improvement and exploring new innovations that drive efficiency and reliability.
We are a fast-paced FMCG supplier which will require you to multi-task, cope with changing priorities and demands, stay focused under pressure, think on your feet, and provide solutions that keep us running.
We are hiring for our nightshift role from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Friday.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
· Electrician qualification (holding EWRB registration)
· Team player with excellent communication skills and personal integrity
· 3 years’ experience in a similar role in industrial maintenance environment
· Pneumatic/Hydraulic experience
Desired:
· Excellent technical and diagnostic ability
· Trade qualification – (L4) Fitter Turner / Mechanical Diagnostics Engineer
