Maintenance Engineer (Fitter/Welder)

We have some exciting projects in the works at Comvita and we need extra hands on deck within our Facilities and Engineering team to make that happen! Our team is looking for another Maintenance Engineer to play a key part in ensuring production reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the wider supply chain.

Some Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support engineering to ensure a high level of efficiency, reliability, and productivity across manufacturing and supply chain operations.  


• Plan and carry out both preventative and breakdown maintenance across the Paengaroa and Comvita Apiaries sites to minimise downtime related to plant, equipment, and processes.  


• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and process-related issues in a timely manner.  


• Support safe working practices and contribute to maintaining a strong health and safety culture.  


• Work closely with production teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective maintenance outcomes and project delivery. 
  

What you bring

• New Zealand recognised trade qualification or similar


• Proven experience within Mechanical Fitting 


• Proven experience within Plant Maintenance


• Experience with Packing Machinery is advantageous but not essential 


• Experience as an Industrial Electrical work is advantageous but not essential
