Maintenance Fitter

About the role:  
As the Maintenance Fitter, you will serve as a crucial team member responsible for the maintenance, upgrades, and modifications of various machinery and equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our client's factory.

Responsibilities will include:

• Perform maintenance, upgrades, and modifications on various heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment across the factory, including presses and forming machines
• Maintain and service pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain a smooth operation of production lines, including ovens, loaders, unloaders, and mixers
• Overhaul high-pressure and low-pressure pumps and compressors, including necessary pipework upgrades and modifications
• Diagnose and repair faults in tooling and machinery
• Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment

Skills + Experience: 
For this role you will need:

• Substantial hands-on experience in maintaining various industrial equipment/machinery
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Some welding and fabrication skills for repairs and modifications would be advantageous
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts
• Flexibility to work weekends and respond to urgent maintenance needs
• The ability to work as part of a team, but also unsupervised
• Relevant qualification in Maintenance Fitting or similar

Pay + Benefits:  

• Competitive salary aligned with skills and experience + Shift Allowance
• Your roster is 4 days on (2 days + 2 night shifts), followed by 4 days off, giving you a lot of flexibility
• Free on-site parking
