Job Description - Maintenance Fitter

Are you a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for an exciting opportunity to join a leading production company? We are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the position of a Fitter at our client's facility in East Tamaki, Auckland. As a Fitter, you will play a vital role in the production process by carrying out preventative maintenance tasks, attending breakdowns, contributing to changeovers, and occasionally filling operating positions.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and carry out necessary repairs to minimize downtime.

Contribute actively to changeovers, ensuring efficient and smooth transitions between production runs.

Conduct inspections and testing of machinery to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair logs, equipment condition reports, and inventory levels.

Collaborate with other team members and provide technical support to ensure optimal production efficiency.

Occasionally fill in for operating positions during absences or when required.

About the role:

Permanent full-time role

Monday - Thursday 9 am to 7 pm & Friday 7 am to 3 pm & NO weekends

Fixed 45.5 hours a week

A base of up to $90,000
