Maintenance Manager

Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our PACT Steel - Avondale team.

About the Role:

This Position reports to the Operations Manager and holds a key stake in the site management team. You will work as part of the operational team to achieve the highest performance levels concerning customer service, product quality, efficiency, innovation, safety and environment and be the team champion for reliability and technical skills.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• To provide mechanical and electrical support to ensure the performance and efficiencies of machinery is optimised.
• To lead the development of continuous improvement capability across the site by role modelling leadership consistent with manufacturing best practice.
• To provide expert advice in the evaluation of maintenance and engineering data to improve asset reliability and maintainability by using established manufacturing philosophies.
• Upgrading machines and essential services for maximum reliability and efficiency whilst maintaining costs within budget
• Develop the capabilities and capacities of people and external service providers to ensure the business delivers reliable and targeted throughput.
• Holding the Health & Safety of people and Quality of what we do at the forefront of all site operations.
• All activities documented for future completeness and all improvement opportunities followed through.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential skills & experience:

• Prior experience in a maintenance /engineering leadership role within in an FMCG manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Technical maintenance skills gained in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of tooling and material handling.
• A strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and fault finding.
• Handle a successful implementation / ongoing use of MEX for maintenance management.
• Exemplary leadership and people management track record with demonstrable engagement and influencing skills.
• Change agile, resilient, and skilled at navigating through.
