Job Description - Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

Dueto an internal promotion, we are seeking a qualified and experienced MaintenanceMechanical Engineer to join the Maintenance Team at our longstanding TasmanMill, Kawerau, Eastern Bay of Plenty. This is a challenging but exciting rolethat will see you play a key role in the team and make excellent use of yourBachelor of Engineering degree. 
Reportingto the Area Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for providingmaintenance expertise and support to the assigned business unit so that theoverall mill business objects are met. Ideally you will have at least 3-5 years Mechanical Engineeringexperience working in pulp and paper or a heavy manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities: Ensureconformance to EHS&R standards, ensuring best practices and processesare in place. Increaseplant reliability through improved maintenance practices. Scopeand manage mechanical maintenance and plant modifications for completionby contractors. Ensurethe quality of mechanical maintenance execution is in line with assetstrategy. Developmid/long term maintenance strategies for equipment used widely in theplant. Takeaction to resolve maintenance issues from reoccurring, thus improvingreliability. Youwill bring to the role: A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering preferably orsimilar relevant qualification and work experience within heavy industrialmaintenance of static, rotating and pressure equipment. A continuous improvement mindset with excellentroot cause analysis capability.  Abilityto communicate across all levels of the business. Practicaland innovative, with good attention to detail. Enjoyworking in a team environment.
