Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

What you’ll be doing

As our Maintainance Supervisor at the Manapouri Hydro dam, you will provide leadership and mentoring to our facilities maintenance team on site, and oversee the day-to-day operations of cleaning being undertaken in and around industrial equipment.

You’ll be responsible for supervising and delivery ofgeneral maintenance work on site such as minor repairs, installations, and general upkeep of the grounds and buildings.

As part of your role, you will supervise theMaintainers toensure they arecarrying out their responsibilitieseffectivelyand efficiently, and ensurethe safety of yourself, your team and relevant members of the public while Maintainer work is being carried out.

You’ll undertake a broad range of general maintenance duties and vegetation control work including (but not limited to):

• Water blasting and removal of rubbish and processing of recycling
• General trades assistance duties such as repairs, installation andimprovements to doors, gates, fences, signs, plumbing, drainage and painting.
• Other general maintenance functions associated with the upkeep of buildings, grounds and structures
• Cleaning industrial plant as part of the general asset management plan
• Managing the availability, storage and handling of any cleaning products required to undertake the above activities

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with proven supervisory capability and leadership experience. Previous experience working within the electricity industry is preferable but not essential.

Other key requirements include:

• Experience working within an industrial or commercial cleaning environment
• Competence using a wide range of industrial tools and equipment
• Safety first attitude
