With our network growth we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Support Engineer to join our team in Auckland on permanent full-time basis.
In this crucial role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet by supporting our engineering team and contracted maintenance providers.

About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Maintenance Manager, this role will Provide line maintenance with technical and logistical support of the company freighter aircraft operations.
Based at Auckland Airport, you will work collaboratively with the Deputy Maintenance and manage broad range of engineering and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all TCA-owned tooling and ensure it remains calibrated by our contracted partner
- Assist manage the maintenance activities at all maintenance bases (primarily Auckland and Christchurch) & timely completion of AD/SB and modification programs
- Participate in key projects like C Checks, extended maintenance visits, and aircraft deliveries/disposals (may require travel)
- Coordinate and assist with defect rectification, including clear communication and support (may require non-standard work hours)
- Manage logistical provisioning (receiving/dispatching parts), support scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, and ensure adequate resources are available
- Assist with procurement of spares, repair cycle management, and keeping inventory systems up-to-date (includes oversight of contracted stores)
- Provide technical/operational advice to Flight Operations and manage AOG event reporting
- Keep CAMO, MOC, and TCA operational departments informed of aircraft serviceability.
- Liaise with our contracted Part 145 organization to ensure they meet obligations and address any issues
- Assist with special projects and requests from the TCA Engineering & Maintenance Managers
- Complete daily/weekly reports and maintain accurate engineering documentation
- Address audit findings promptly and Provide guidance/solutions on maintenance, quality and safety matters
- Promote safety within the team and report any concerns

What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years' experience line and/or base maintenance experience required
- Project Management experience in line or base maintenance environment (preferred)
- Possess strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt, tackle challenges and remain focused in a stressful situation,
- Strong leadership capability to articulate information, make logical decisions and influence for positive outcomes
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, compliance and safety
- Highly skilled with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
It would also be great if you had experience with
- TRAX, MyBoeingFleet or similar
- Previous experience with DHL Express globally or air cargo / freight operator
This position will be required to attend the aircraft, the successful candidate must have the ability to travel internationally, obtain ASIC access, and meet local airport vaccination, security and other requirements as necessary.
