Job Description - Manager, Programme Delivery

EQC Toka Tu Ake is an Aotearoa (NZ) Crown entity that invests in natural disaster research and education as well as providing natural disaster insurance to residential property owners. EQC Toka Tu Ake's mission is to reduce the impact on people and property when a natural disaster occurs while administering the natural disaster fund.

The purpose of the Manager Programme Delivery is to provide leadership of project management expertise across the EQC Toka Tu Ake enterprise change programme. This includes resourcing and managing a pool of skilled Project Managers running multiple projects as a programme of work, supporting their growth and development, and their success in delivering change outcomes.
Your confident and engaging manner and excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to quickly build effective working relationships across all levels. You will be a credible and trusted person who is actively sought out for their advice, influence, with a collaborative approach to improving business performance.
Key responsibilities will include: 
Conducting business planning, financial forecasting, and roadmap development across the various project streams. Empowering and supporting Project Managers to successfully deliver projects to scope, time and budget. Ensuring monitoring, control and reporting is accurate, timely and meets EQC Toka Tu Ake requirements. Developing, maintaining, and leading the community of practice for project management best practice.Creating and fostering professional relationships that are trusted, sustainable and effective.Leading by example to create a culture of continuous improvement which the team can take an active part in. Ko wai koe | About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
At least 5 years' experience in a programme management role with active experience of delivering multiple projects. An experienced thought leader and influencer, able to operate successfully across all levels of the organisation. A management style that creates constructive, collaborative, and empowered working relationships with staff. Excellent relationship management and proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build confidence. Highest level of problem-solving ability within a complex environment and working with different sources of information Ability to communicate and influence at senior levels both verbally and in writing, applying critical thinking and analysis, and 'join the dots' to turn ambiguity into structured plans. You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector. A people person and a valued team player, with exemplary collaboration skills. Why EQC Toka Tu Ake is a great place to work What is the most important thing in the world; it is people, it is people, it is people.
