Verkerks is a family-owned and Christchurch-based NZ company that has been producing quality salami for three generations.  We have 2 full-time roles available on our day shift, operating Monday to Friday, from 6am until 2.30pm. Any additional hours worked over 40 are voluntary by agreement and are rewarded at one and a half times your hourly rate.

Based in Papanui, our factory has on-site parking and is only 15 minutes from most locations around Christchurch.  Early starts mean an early afternoon finish, so you get to finish while it’s still daylight, perfect for those who pick the kids up after school or participate in sports or other extra-curricular activities

Helping to produce our delicious salami and smallgoods products, you will work in a team in our Slicing and Packing department, performing a whole range of tasks from boxing product to operating our industrial slicers and packing machines.  Before long, you will learn some of our more complex processes, meaning your skill level increases - and so does your pay!
