Who we are

Whāraurau works to improve the mental health and wellbeing of infants, children, and adolescents, and those who care for them, by providing workforce development within the mental health and addiction sector in Aotearoa. Through UniServices, a wholly owned social impact company of Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, we are contracted by Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora and the Ministry of Education to grow the capacity and capability of the infant, child, adolescent, and whānau mental health and addictions workforces. We offer a range of e‑Learning courses, training, webinars and service supports that are government-funded and free to access.

The opportunity

A great opportunity for a Marketing Communications Coordinator to join the team, permanent fulltime.  You will be promoting the professional development resources and training opportunities Whāraurau offers to the workforce.  You will lead the coordination and delivery of digital content, campaigns and stakeholder communications, and support and advise the team around communications.  You will be an experienced Coordinator in the Marketing Communications space who knows how to work with internal customers and turn their ideas into engaging content, and who is continually looking for ways to improve the customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with internal stakeholders at Whāraurau to plan, draft and deliver marketing communication initiatives.
  • Manage Whāraurau’s digital presence across platforms to ensure consistent deliverables are met.
  • Maintain and enhance the integrity of the Whāraurau brand through visual identity and tone.
  • Act as a communications partner internally to provide responsive and proactive support for the delivery of projects.
  • Track, analyse and report on all marketing and communication activities to guide decisions and for effective improvements.

Qualifications

Your skills and experience:

It is essential for you to hold:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (communications, marketing, business, public relations) or comparable professional qualification or experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the communications, marketing or public relations space.
  • The ability to review material with high attention to detail, ask questions, and be assertive.
  • Experienced with online communication platforms i.e. Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn etc.
  • Basic level of proficiency in Adobe suite, Canva, and Premier Pro.
  • Good knowledge and ability with Google Analytics and social media reporting/scheduling tools.
