Marketing Manager, Hawthorne Group - Room for Advancement

Our client, Hawthorne Group has built a highly respected reputation for the curation and distribution of quality and stylish furnishings that grace the interiors of homes and businesses throughout New Zealand.

The company distributes its brands to a range of retailers throughout the country and works closely with interior designers who specify Hawthorne’s furnishings to their clients.

The Marketing Manager role is a newly created position and will be pivotal in leading  transformational change, where the marketing strategy will drive the business direction for the coming years. It’s an exciting time to be part of the business during this critical period.

The role
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing manager, this role has full responsibility for the marketing function and management of an in-house designer/photographer.  You’ll be working with a close knit team who are passionate about the business and how to grow it. Unlike many corporate environments, you’ll be close to the decision makers, so things tend to move more quickly and ideas are readily shared and implemented.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Marketing planning, budgeting and monitoring of results
• Brand management and positioning
• Lead generation
• Execution of marketing tactics including collateral production, updating the website, digital marketing, 
• Email marketing and Social media management
• Content creation
• Collaboration with sales, product development and design and procurement
• Managing external agency relationships- digital agency
• Event planning and roll out

Who we need
We’re looking for a passionate marketer with 5+ year’s experience who is self managed and comfortable making decisions. You’ll be experienced in taking new products to market and communicating the brand position both internally and externally.

Strong analytical skills and creativity are important. You’ll love communicating and collaborating with a team to get projects delivered. Experience using Hubspot or similar EDM software is useful.
