Location : In any of our locations based in Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington

Hours : 30-40 hours per week – negotiable

NZMS is New Zealand’s leading digitisation and imaging bureau for cultural heritage materials such as photographs, manuscripts, publications, maps, works of art, and audio-visual records.  We work primarily with galleries, libraries, archives, and museums throughout New Zealand, but our clients also include government agencies, private companies, iwi, and individuals. We are the also the New Zealand resellers for the community engagement platform Recollect, which allows our clients’ collections to be made accessible online. Recollect, our partner, is a cloud-based community engagement platform (SaaS), that hosts cultural heritage digital reproductions and they have built up an enviable reputation in the international market.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to help us in our overall marketing efforts. You will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion.

You will be a competent professional able to grasp consumer behaviour trends and generate creative ideas. The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will help our reputation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels. 
• Collaborate with the internal team to coordinate contributions for brand awareness. 
•  Develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
• Conduct or contribute to outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development, events planning etc.)
• Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns.
• Analyse marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Outstanding written communication skills
• A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing and communications, or equivalent level of skill gained through on the job training and experience.
• Experience in planning, creating, and coordinating marketing campaigns.
•  Experience with Mailchimp or similar platforms (desirable but not essential).
•  Understanding, or experience in Graphic Design
