About Caliber
We are Caliber Design, an engineering consulting firm with a truly unique business model, providing solutions to clients across several different industries.
Our engineers work within our client's team and are based on our client's site, for the duration of the project. This offers a unique level of flexibility and collaboration for our clients and diversity in work for our engineers. Each project need will vary, but we are typically working flexibly and with hybrid working arrangements.

The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work on one project for one client at a time. Based in their team for the duration of this project, you will have the opportunity to work across various industries and types of projects.
While you will be embedded in this organisation, you will still be connected to your Caliber colleagues with regular connections and touch points including regular team building activities and monthly drinks catch ups. You will also have regular catch ups with your technical lead to support you in your learning.
With projects lasting on average 3-6 months at a time, you will work across a diverse range of industries. You will provide your clients Mechanical Engineering advice, expertise, and support in executing their projects. Communicating well with the client and other stakeholders, working to tight deadlines and prioritising your work will be important parts of your daily work as you assist your client to ensure their project is running on time and within budget.
You will be supporting projects in the wider Bay of Plenty Region and via remote support other projects across New Zealand. You will need to have the flexibility to be able to travel, including short stints away.
About You
To join Caliber as one our newest Mechanical Engineers, you will be a skilled engineer with a high-level written and verbal communication ability.
Please note that this role is not suitable for a graduate. For this role, we arespecifically looking for a mechanical engineer with at least 6 years' experience who will be comfortable working with any project that we give them.
