Mechanical Engineering Technician

Diamond Homes Limited located in Auckland is a company providing services of property management, new builds construction, and kitchen cabinets production. Currently we are in need of a Mechanical Engineering Technician.Your duties may include but not limited to:preparing drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologistsassisting Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the design of mechanical equipment and plantselecting tools and equipmentassembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systemsestimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirementsperforming and directing field and laboratory testscollecting and analysing data, carrying out complex computations and preparing diagramsorganising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plantensuring that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisionsTo be successful in this role, you need• NZQF Level 5 or higher qualification in mechanical engineering field, or at least three years relevant work experience.• Be a person with a detailed eye for safety issues• Clean police record• Can pass drug testsOther details: Work location: AucklandLength of employment: Full time and permanentHourly rate: $30 - $40 per hourHours: 40 hours per week (Minimum 30 hours guaranteed)If you are willing to work at Auckland on a long-term basis, and have the necessary attributes above, you are welcome to apply for the position by emailing your CV (including contact details and visa status) to us.Applicants for this position with NZ citizenship or residence visa with relevant work experience and/or qualification will be given preference.Appropriate work visa is required for non-resident/citizen applicants.
