Teaching - Tertiary (Education & Training) Full time Add expected salary to your profile for insights NorthTec invites applications for the role of Tutor- Mechanical Engineering to join us on a fixed-term basis through to August 2024. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position based at the Future Trades Campus in Whangarei. As a Tutor, you will provide our akonga with a high-quality level of learning, and be passionate in passing on your knowledge and skills to enable them to succeed in their studies. Our ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced Fabricator/ Welder who is passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge in order to deliver first-class training. Qualifications, Experience and Attributes: Hold or be willing to work towards an adult teaching qualification Relevant Industry experience Experience in teaching or training adults Be a team player Be well organized with excellent time management skills A positive person with a 'can-do' approach Basic IT and Computer skills Willingness to greet and acknowledge people in te reo Maori Have a minimum understanding of Maori culture but be active in supporting activities Commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi including participation in bi-cultural settings Applications must be received by close of business Wednesday 29 May 2024.
