This company is Tauranga based but their clients span right across the Bay of Plenty and Central Waikato therefore traveling will be involved - to account for this, they are offering a company car or allowance.
Please note: this is a 6 month fixed term contract.
What will you be doing in the role?
- Apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance techniques such as RCA and FMEA.
- Conduct preventative and proactive focussed meetings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create new maintenance routes as required.
- Review and update existing plant inspection tasks.
- Ensure maintenance and operator inspections comply with guidelines and standards.
- Apply theoretical engineering knowledge for practical outcomes.
- Review critical site equipment for proper maintenance management.
- Update comprehensive parts lists.
- Demonstrate commitment to a positive safety culture.
- Apply key learnings to enhance safety practices continually.
- Understand and implement inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of codes and standards related to statutory compliance.
- Have the ability to take the lead and manage projects as required
- Other tasks as required.
What will you have in your toolbelt already?
- Hold a trade qualification and/or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (NZDE) or equivalent.
- Be a quick learner with excellent attention to detail.
- Ideally, have experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Offer problem-solving skills to provide quality solutions to engineering challenges.
- Be proficient in learning new computer skills, including maintenance platforms (e.g., SAP) and MS Office (Excel, Project).
- Demonstrate competence and ideally have experience in managing technical data.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
