Te kowhiringa | The OpportunitySpotless (a Downer Company) has the contract with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for Facilities Maintenance and Management at four main bases: Linton Military Camp, RNZAF Base Ohakea, Burnham Military Camp and Waiouru Military Training Area, the National Army Museum, and several satellite sites where we deliver a suite of services to support Defence capability. Our Linton Military Camp is on the hunt for a Mechanical Technician.The purpose of the Facilities – Mechanical Technician is to complete work which requires the application of relevant trade skills in a manner consistent with the high standards expected by our customers.These tasks would include:Responsible for all mechanical, regular maintenance & general engineering / repairs/ Fabrication of all mechanical infrastructure on the camp.Running & maintenance of the gas fired heating boilers and associated pipe work.Maintenance of multiple general heating boilers (condensing).Maintenance of pumps.Maintenance & repair of domestic hot water calorifiers & all associated circulation pumps.Problem solving & installation of new equipment on camp.Nga pukenga matua | Important SkillsDemonstrated experience in relevant trade area required.Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests.Experience using hand or power equipment.QualificationsTrade certification or licence in relevant field.Valid, unrestricted drivers licence.Current first aid certificate.Site Safe maintenance passport.Ko te take ka parekareka e koe ki te mahi ki konei | Why you will enjoy working hereA role with Spotless can advance your career and expand your skills.
